Default Forum software keeps adding blank lines

When I add a blank line in order to separate paragraphs, the forum goes on to insert yet another blank line that I neither asked for nor want. This makes individual posts take up more space than necessary and become a little less easy to read.

It's a nuisance to have to either preview or re-open every post in order to make the these edits that shouldn't be necessary in the first place.

I don't think MustangForums is the only forum this happens on, but it's the one where it happens the most often/consistently.

If it is possible to correct this little glitch, please do.

I'm not correcting this post so you'll see what I mean.

It didn't happen above when I did it. Is it a setting on your computer?

Not that I know of. I insert one blank line between paragraphs and the forum is still adding another one. The two blank lines between the last text and my hand-typed name end up being what appears to be four.

Since I've seen it occasionally elsewhere, is it possible for this to be something that crept in with a recent release of vbulletin?

Edit - still doing it. Edit 2 - even on edits.
