I own a 00 2.3 v6 but I wanna put a v8 under the hood. I need to know what all I need to change to make her a v8 besides just swapping the motor. Oh ya one more question what should I put under the hood? Hope some one can help me thanks.

its a 3.8l v6

first off pick the motor you want there is a world of choices then get back to us.

just to make the swap is one thing. making it efficient is another. you will want to change the tranny and rear end because they are really weak. then there computer swap, probably heavier springs, basically whole drivetrin if you want it to be tough enough to handle the xtra hp. its a long road but there is a light at the end of the tunnel! one thing at a time is all you can do. i just got my 95 back on the road after 3 years. good luck

 

depending on what he is wanting the susupention and rear end my be fine for now the tranny is a given on a motor swap. if he cheaps out and goes with a carb he won't even need the computer.

 

good correction on that tim...if you just want to ge tit on the road motor tranny and couple little things. then change the reaeend if you tear it out...lol

 

What 00 has a 2.6 V6? I just dropped a 5.0 in my 3.8L V-6 Mustang.
