I am in cali and was wondering how could i keep my car Carb approved. Jba makes headers that are carb approved but was wondering if i got the headers and just put a straight pipe on would i still get noticible gains in power.

Yeh. I just want to know if i were to just start with the headers only and stock piping would i still notice the gains, and later on get some piping with cats included.

I'm not exactly sure on what you're asking but I would save up and do everything at once (headers, catback, midpipe). You'll notice a better gain. Don't go straight pipes. I'm in cali too and have BBK equal lengths, BBK catted h-pipe, and flowmaster catback...

for now your money would be better spent on a mid pipe.

I would also do the cat back and mid pipe set up, before doning the headers. You will see more power with that.

Bassani mid-lenth headers with cats are supposed to be 50 state legal.
