The fuel you select depends on a lot of things. N2O? Blower? Timing? The higher the octane rating, the longer it will take to ignite. Example: I use VP Racing C16. The motor has 12.4/1 C/R and I ad a 150 shot. The keep the motor out of detonation, I want a slow burning fuel. C16 is 117 motor octane.
Just adding "racing fuel" will most likely have no affect on ET. Increase your timing, and now you will need to increase your octane rating.

Um, what is the octane rating on those fuels? Choose the fuel with the highest octane rating... All higher octane fuel really does is prevent your car from detonating in the cylenders, gives you a little more pep over stock pump, but nothing too special... Just run reg pump gas unless your using more boost then stock, hell if your any boost then go ahead and run the race fuel because it will help with the efficientcy of your car....

Just never race with more then half a tank of gas, its dangerous to you and everyone at the event.

Why is it dangerous? As far as I know, always keep it full. You do not want any air in your tank or fuel cell.

I race using Sunoco 104 octane unleaded in my '88 5.0 and it works fine for me. At $4.00 a gallon it better!!!
I've got a chip on the computer and have bumped the timing up and it does not detonate at all.
Stick with the unleaded stuff as higher octane doesn't add power, it just let's you tune for more power without detonation. Leaded fuel will kill the O2 sensors and ruin the cat crackers also.

Picked up this mix from some turbo dodge fellas, they swear by it:

5 gallon bucket. Put in:

3 gallons of 93 octane premium
1 gallon of Xylene (paint store, 110 octane)
2-4 oz of MMO

Jeep ive heard of many different "WITCHES BREW" but to be honest i wouldnt trust them.

Ive seen guys here use aviation fuel for the circle tracks and it seems everyone has their own way of mixing up these "WITCHES BREW" but i wouldnt run it in anything that seen street use.

rarely anything over 100 is need hell I have 550hp and run 93 plus some 104 octang works great with flat tops and 15 psi and 10 degrees timing using 104 or 108+ your wasting your cash unless your running 12+ to 1 then it isn't street driven
