Hi guys i just bought a 99 3.8 5 speed, its black with black GT rims. I want to put windo tint on the vehicle but i do not know which grade, i dont really care about being legal. I was thinking %5 on the side and rear window but i dont know what to put (if anything on the winshield). Also does anyone know about how much this will cost?

Around here, it usually runs around 125.00. Are there any laws in your state concerning how dark it can be?

Your from IL... 100% illegal on your doors. Rear and quarter windows can be as dark as you want. No shop around here will even think about tinting your whole windshield. You can only tint 6.5" down from the top of windshield. I have tint on all windows (except windshield). If you need to know a good shop for tints, PM me and ill give you the info.

I just tinted my 05. Its black/black interior. I went with the Platnium. It looks shiny silver not black or smoke. I looked at every black car with tint and the black windows blended too much IMO. Trying to be different in a stang is a challenge. In south FL it cost $150. Back window and sails are 15%, doors are 35% and I did not do the visor strip. The silver is also a better heat reflector according to dealer, cost was the same here.

i dunno why you would really wanna tint your windshield but i'd think it would be illegal in any state jus cause it could'impair' your vision. its time consuming but you could prolly do it while the right ****. i did mine, took bout 3 hours to jus do tha side windows, i realy took my time n had quite a few beer breaks.

tinting your winshield would subject you to an instant ticket.
Is your interios black? You may not have to go as dark if your interior is darker, it will make your tint seem darker but when the cops pull you over and check it will be legal.

I have 15% and I think its perfect.
I was in wendies and 2 cops waited outside for me, when I got done I went to my car, rolled down my windows and drove off. THey folowed me for 3 miles and then pulled me over. They kept repeating this is double the legal limit over and over. Then at a local meet coprs blocked in the entrance and gave tickets for every little thing. I waited inside a restraunt for 3 hours untill all 8 of them left.

are you stupied you cant tint your winshild have you ever tinted your windows and then looked out them its dark and you kinda need to see out you winshild like all the time so you dont wreck ok well enough about that ive tinted all my windows my self with the roll on stuff they sell at like auto parts stores and on all of them it cost me about $60 a vechical and that was 4 rolls of tint at about $15 a roll but thats doing it your self if you have never done it befor you should practic on some thing becuase your first time looks like **** or at least mine did then once you catch on you can do it like a pro

for 40 bucks more I would just go to a professional shop and have them do it with a lifetime warranty

well if you get put it on as good as a professional y spend the extra becuase whos gonna keep there car for a life time
