Return line or no?
Hi guy's and girl's. Cant leave them out.
I just got my windsor running and i have the mallory 140gph electric pump with a -8 supply line and no return line.
On the mallory site you can see that they sell these pumps both ways.
Someone just told me that he has a friend who had the same pump and no return line
but it lasted 4 hours due to "what he says" the lack of a return.
Has anyone had any problems with these? Or heard the same story?
Just wondering as he has me worried now.

You may want to contact Mallory. The 140 is a great pump. We used it on one of my freinds 65' stang with a Windsor. BUT it was a track car with limited street use. They MAY not be good for everyday continual use. Better check it out before smoking it.
Basically how the fuel system works in these cars in stock form is, your pump works at 100% at all times, and your regulator bleeds off the excess fuel
if your friend used a similar setup, but had no return, that pump was fighting some extreme pressure and resistance. Use the right pump with the right regulator and you should be fine
