well, threads about a week old now, might as well respond

Ive got Borla Stingers and a MAC o/r H on my 99GT.

Im unable to describe the sound. Its very loud, but also has an amazing exhaust note. This is something that i KNOW many other catbacks dont provide at the same time.

It is very deep and resonating at idle both inside the car, and around it. It is a sound that I havent heard on another mustang to this date as the catback is much less common than any other than perhaps bassanni.

I have heard the tone before on a dodge magnum with a borla catback, it was deep, but not nearly as much so as my car, nor as loud, but it did sound very good.

I cant really comment on the performance of the catback, its not like i was able to feel a whole lot of gains from just a midpipe and catback.

However, if ANYONE is interested in purchasing this item, and has any questions, or doubts just ask and let me know.

 

does anyone know of the sound out of an slp loudmouth cat back.. I hope its loud. loud id good.... it will be here friday.. but the car wont be running for a couple more weeks...... i can t wait too hear it...

 

I agree with you 100% I got my Borla catback exhaust the first day I got my 2006 GT and boy, was it fun to drive. It REALLy makes you feel like you're going faster. At 2K RPM, it sounds aggressive and at 3K RPM, it sounds like it's going 90MPH and people stare.

On the downside, drone noise around 3-4K RPM is really terrible and so I am going to install resonators this month and evo performance (a sponsor on this board) says that it will totoally remove the drone. Then, I'll be one happy camper.

 

SLP LM1 is supposedly pretty loud. But if you want raw noise, you cant go wrong with glass packs.

im a big fan of borla and if i had the money i would definantly get a borla catback. but i wont have 600 for a long a$$ time.

 

i was wondering the same thing,, you'd think that if you voted, you'd have a reason other than its what you own
