390FE to Windsor conversion
I know its a crazy idea.. but if there was a way i could bolt the 390 up to everything to replace my 302 94GT. ,,, good night... that would be so awesome. and scary. that would mean custom everything. heh. the harmonic balancer and bell housing would have to have all different bolt setups. *bites lip* how much money we talkin? compared to just using the 351 swap.

RE: 390FE to Windsor conversion
The 390 is going to cost you twice what the 351 would. And even then it isnt worth it.The swap you are attempting is not very practical and not common.
The 390 is a workhorse motor meaning that its not commonly hotrodded unless it was in an old ride thats being kept as original.
If you are going to do a big block swap in your stang go for the mighty 460 and i promise you wont be sorry. Not to mention the aftermarket has been flooded with swap parts and performance parts for the 460.
Also a word of advice you WILL not get your current tranny to live behind a big block and you will need a C4-C6 tranny.
This swap will break the bank.Dont do it.REsearch it more and you will see what i mean.
