Default 91 rear breaks

im having trouble getting the rear drum breaks apart on my 91 LX, is their a trick or are the just stuck. just want to make sure i dont break anything taking them off.

WERD!!! One of the worst things about Ford drum brakes. You have to unadjust them because of the ridge built up on the inside of the drum.



See the piece at the very bottom. That is the star wheel adjuster. You have a slot in the backing plate, you have to put a screwdriver or brake spoon (term for the correct tool) and loosen up the adjustment so the drums will come off.
