Default Could it be my clutch cable?

My clutch grabs around 3in from the floor but the whole clutch pedal goes about 7in from the floor....it seems very very high...could this be a result from a bad clutch cable? If not then what? Thanks.

Not unless you've stretched out the clutch cable itself, which is usually unlikely.

Most probably it's your clutch quadrant or simply that your clutch is in need of manual adjustment. I need to do this too, I found an article on it here: http://www.corral.net/tech/drivetrain/clutcha.htm

You don't like the disengagment point up high?

Ya I like that...but after driving my buddies 6spd Trans Am and feeling how low the whole clutch pedal was to the ground and how low it grabbed I found it was def. the kinda clutch I want. Any opinions on how to get it there without replacing whole clutch system?...I doubt its bad...it has never slipped on me, grabs good.
