how strong are 4.6 engines
ok i have a 2002 gt and am thinking of putting an ATI P-ISC procharger on it. how much hp will this block hold without having to do the bottom end.
the car currentlly has around 310 hp and is runnng low 13's in the quarter. its just not enough [:'(]. i have a buick grand national running in the high tens
, But i just dont know must about these 4.6 motors. the car has long tube headers and an X-pipe with flowmasters, it also has underdrive pullies and a k&n filter. I've only had the car a month so i havent had the chance to do much else. If anyone has had any good or bad expieriences with these motors please let me know

Forge the bottom end for about 2500 then get a supercharger. Will increase the longetivity of your engine. Without strengthening the bottom end I'm not sure if it could handle the extra horses.
Just wondering... Why did you post a picture of a Fox body when you are asking about a 4.6.
Also, a 2002 with those mods won't put down near 310 hp, figure maybe 15 extra horses to the wheels if you're lucky with that exhaust and no other supporting mod, another 15 for the pullies and filter combined
