4.10 vs 3.73

RE: 4.10 vs 3.73
The C4 and C6 are the TOUGHEST of ford automatic trannies. They also suck up the least amount of horsepower, not to mention the C4 weighs maybe 75lbs.Very light weight and highly durable.
Yeah stoplight to stoplight or short runs like 1/4 is where this thing shines. But if you are ever concerned about fuel economy (AND WHO IS WHEN HOT RODDING RIGHT) do not get a C4 or C6.

RE: 4.10 vs 3.73
I used 3.73's in my 88 GT and really liked them on the street and track. Only pulled about 300 more rpm at 70 mph than the stock 2.73's and could hardly tell the difference in gas mileage either. Didn't need an additional transmission cooler either, never had a problem with the tranny on the street or track. The 4.10's are too short for the street but good for a track only set up and you probably will need to add tranny cooler. Put a good posi like an Auburn in with the 3.73's and let it rip. You'll like it!
