Default 4.10 vs 3.73

I am planning a gear swap in the near future and cant decide between a 4.10 and a 3.73. I have a aod with a shift kit. My friend tells me that if i go with a 4.10 the speedometer will never be correct. Does anyone know if this is true? Im afraid if i go with the 3.73 it wont be what im looking for. Any suggestions?? Thanks

3:73 is a go choice and just change the speedo gear like 10.00 bucks..also invest in a transmission cooler

i have 4.10s on my car, as far as the gears, if you plan on running alot of power i would go for the 3.73s and if you also want top end you should go for the 3.73s, 4.10 has less top end but more accel.

I have 3.73's and a C4 3 speed. Its very STOUT off the line but at say 65mph im turning like 3,000rpm.Its not a highway cruiser.

Being that you have an AOD and arent concerned about highway mileage i'd recommend 4.10s if this is just to run around town say stoplight to stoplight.

And the gear is a simple swap and yes a tranny coller is a must! Its a very cheap but well worth it investment.I suggest you run the cooler in series with your radiator.

that c-4 is tuff to deal with on the freeway but will bust some *** on the stoplight drags
