Default Fuel injection line removal

We were working on an old Ford Bronco V6.. pulling out one engine that had a cracked head & swapping in another. We were trying to disconnnect the high pressure fuel lines from the fuel rail, using those little round plastic disconnect tool thingies, and no matter what we try the line won't release [:@]

The picture on the packages shows the ring part just gets inserted under the metal ring & I can "feel" the clip releasing, but the line still wont come loose. Anyone have done this before? Do you need to just shove real hard with the clip in?

Thanks for the link. OK so I guess we were "doing it right" lol just that we're using the cheapie version of the tool AND not enough force..
