thanks alot for the ideas and input guys, i think i'll follow through. Now the question is....

427 or 347?

may seem like a no brainer but I'm 18 years old and i don't want to mess my baby up.

Chris

I think im just going to take the middle ground and go with the 408....

As for the questions earlier about what level of NASCAR. They build alot of Busch Series engines as well as Craftsman Truck motors. The motors they are selling are STEETABLE engines that run on pump gas and have a warranty of 12months-12,000 miles.

Also, as for the question about 427 or 347?

Depends on your application. For a street car that is going to see normal driving duty, Definately the 347. It comes with 400HP which is more than enough for the street. Now for a car that will be a "weekend warrior" or the "grocery getter" then I say get the 427! I can think of two things that would just be awesome to own with a 427 and that is a Cobra kit car or a '67 Fastback Eleanor clone!

I appreciate all of the interest this has gotten! I figured most would be intrigued by this since its been right under our noses on Ebay!

If you want to know peoples feedback on the engine you should look at the feedback of the seller, and check who he/she sold them to. If you are an ebay memeber, you can email those buyers and be able to ask them how the motor is going as well as the pros / cons and whatever else you like.

They have 100% feedback and have sold over a hundred things from stroker kits to you-name-it! For you defectors out thier they also build small block and big block chevy's too!

I think i might go with the 427, i'm going to ask my father and if he gives me his blessing than i will go with the monster. but if he thinks otherwise, i'm not upset with the 347 at all.

Thanks Nick,

Chris

Keep in mind the more you stroke a motor the shorter it's lifespan will be. I would go with a 331 or 408 stroker they have a lot less side loading on the pistons and can make just as much power.

Thanks for the info, i was beginning to go for the 408.... I'll probably side with that.

Depending on how far my budget takes me, might have to be the 347.

Thanks for the info Shortbus!

Dude, go 427. Trust me, as soon as you feel 400 HP you will wish you had more, and if you can afford both, you would be CRAZY to go with the smaller engine.

I already redid my suspension, I'm running on 3.73's for gears. and I;m just waiting on a t-5 tranny. After that, its engine and appearance.

we'll see where the wind blows me on the engine....

Thanks Nick
