Default ENGINE SWAP?

Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone knows how hard or how easy it would be to swap a '94-'98 or newer Mustang GT engine into a '94-'98 Mustang Coupe?. Would i need anything for the install besides the engine?, and lastly around how much would it cost me to do this? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

what year is your car? if its a 94-95, you have to put a 5.0 in it. if its a 96-98, you will have to put a 4.6 in it. i swapped a 5.0 in my 95 v6. it was relatively simple. you will need the motor, ecu, wiring harness and all components from the harness. ide also recomend swapping rear ends to, your stock open differential is a piece of ****.

The Mustang I want to swap the GT engine into is a '95 Mustang Coupe, Isn't the 5.0 from the mustangs '93 and older?
Also which is more powerful the GT or the Cobra (SVT or Not), how much does each produce?

since yours is a 95, you have to put a 5.0 in it. the gt has 215hp, and the cobra 240hp.

Go with the cobra. It would probably be a good idea to also have your ecu tuned. So you won't have to worry about injectors not put out enough fuel and higher compression ratios. Stuff like that.

Umm sometimes not. I have a friend who did a engine swap and the ecu did not come with the engine. He had to tune his ecu for it to work. It was cheaper to tune it then buy a new one.
