Default tachometer connection

Which connection on the coil for an '88 5.0 is the right one to hook up for a remote tachometer? Is it the one nearest the fender or the one nearest the engine? I've got a new tach and want to hook it up right the first time.

I am pretty sure you can hook it into the red wire or the green wire. The source is switched before so I would go with the red(positive) wire.
