Water/Methanol Injection Systems

RE: Water/Methanol Injection Systems
the only reason i could see to have w/m injection on a na engine is if it has high compression pistons that would require high octane gas. it would cool the air temps and you could run more timing, but i doubt it'd be enough to feel much of a difference in power. i know they sell na kits but i have never heard of or know of anyone using w/m injection on a na engine. if you decide to try it let us know what you think

+1 to turbostang
With luck, I'll be trying out a w/m system this summer. I have a 429 SCJ that has roughly 11:1 compression ratio, and I would like to see if the system will allow me to run her on 93 octane gas. I'm not hoping for a power gain, only a "streetability" gain. Right now I have to blend the 93 with a 100 octane fuel I get in the suburbs--PITA to drive all that way just to gas up.
Best,
