I have NEVER heard of that. Infact coolant does NOT run to my TB at all or even gets anywhere close to it.... At first I thought you were ****ing with me and telling me to run a hose into my TB from my rad feeding the coolant into the engine and thus ****ing it to oblivion.... LMFAO

For my engine coolant only stays in the engine block and does not go anywhere remotly close to the TB, infact from what I have seen in the 5.0'z and 4.6'z there arent any lines going to the TB either.... I dont know I might be missing something here or your royally ****ing with me, Would really like to see those pictures

Oh and if its duck tape and straws im going to hunt your *** down and beat you with a 351C 0.510/0.525 lift hydrolic cam untill you tell me your sorry... LMFAO

Cant wait to see the pics -holds cam-[8D]

hahahhahahahha, now I wish I was ****in with ya. Here's a pic of it

The red lined hose used to go into the drivers side of the TB. Said elbow hose is where it used to run from the red lined hose, through the TB, into the elbow hose and then into a steam pipe. Now it just runs from the red hose directly into the steam pipe thusly bypassing the TB. I think, keyword think, the TB helps heat the coolant to help your engine get to running temp much quicker. DO NOT DO THIS UNLESS THE CAR HAS BEEN SITTING FOR A FEW HOURS. The coolant gets very very very hot. Anymore questions, just ask.

Can I drink the koolant afterwords? It looks like Mtn. Dew on steroids!

Was watching Monster Garage the other night and one of the Blastoline brothers (the one that blew glass for a living for like 20years) filled a glass bottle like 1/4 of the way with coolant from the Diesel (Peterbuilt to Trike build) and he drank that nasty *** ****! LOL. Bet he needs his stomach pumped x_x

Thanks for the pic, I will take a cool and see whats up with mine, but I dont think mine applies here.

Maybe it's different for v6's? I'm quite positive it's possible on 5.0's though. Just search on the net a lil since it doesn't seem that anyone else on this site knows.

Ok, thanks for telling me about it, its worth looking into, a cheap ($2.50 for the hose) Mod! Hope it works.

Yea, I've seen kits for the 5.0's so I know it should work fine. I'm just wondering if helping warmup is the only reason it would be there in the first place. I can't think of anything else and as long as yours runs fine with it I'm gonna have to do that to mine. Thanks for the info.

Yea, it's working fine on my car. You shouldn't need a kit to do it though. On my car I just disconnected two hoses and plugged one back up. I bought two vacum caps to cap off the TB just b/c I wanted to. Good luck.

Another Free mod I can think of is boring out your MAF. But how do you go about this and how far is enough? Also isnt it pointless unless you have larger injectors? What kind of gains are there? Anyone know?

Coolant does run close to your TB... it runs though you EGR spacer and is part of your EFE (Early Fuel Evaporation) System on your mustang. The purpose of the coolant running through your EGR space is to heat up the air going into your engine during cold starts, which in turn, caused your stang to have better cold performance as well as better gas milage.
