Default Attitude adjustment

My 96 GT convertible has a lot of room between the tires and fenders. The car is completely stock. It needs an attitude adjustment. It would look much better sitting an inch or two lower. I DO NOT want to stiffen the ride. I'll give up cornering performance to smoothen the ride - I drive ALOT of bumpy California freeways.

What components/kits are necessary to lower this car without turning it into a kidney buster?

Any good shops in SoCal come to mind to do this work correctly?

there is no possible way to lower your car, and make it smoother. ide recomend some 1.5 drop springs, maybe 2, and get some nice new shocks to compliment them. the ride wont be harsh, but it wont be smooth as stock.

Which manufacturer for shocks and springs?

Has anyone seen (and felt) the results of the Eibach Pro-System (kit consist of springs and shocks) on a 96 GT convertible?

it will be smooth with adjustable shocks. Maybe some nice 6 way adjustables.
