Default RE: Power short

First check to see if they are on the same fuse. If so check that the fuse didnt blow. A power short will always blow a fuse.Even if the fuse is blown you still have to find what made it blow. If you have a test light or multimeter you will be able to find the short. Are you sure you have a power short and not a bad ground? Try wiggling the wires. If you are sure it is a power short you need a test light or voltmeter. Check for voltage in numerous spots in the wire. If you have voltage in one spot and not in another than the short will be somewhere between the two. A wiring diagram will help alot but i dont know what kind of car you have so i cant help you that much. Hope this helps. Good Luck
