ignition trouble please help

ignition trouble please help

i have an 86 gt all stock. it recently started missing and now wont start . ihave found that there is no spark coming from the coil. i replaced the coil but still no spark. tfi maybe? please help

The module inside the distributer could be bad.You could use a voltmeter to check for voltage to the coil to help track down the cause.

i replaced the tfi and it fired right up. it ran for a minute or two then started missing & died again. thanks 4 the tip i'll give it a shot

most likely your stator inside the distributor, usually if u replace the tfi u should replace the stator at the same time
