We just purchased an 05 convertible, should the shuffle feature shuffle all of the cd's or just one?

 

I can't answer your question exactly, I have a shaker 1000... but you would think the head unit is the same, only the amps (and speakers?) are different.

Additionally, I actually never had audio CDs in the thing yet, I immediately loaded 6 homebrew CDs of MP3s.

With all that disclaimer out of the way, what I CAN definitely tell you is that with the MP3 CDs at least, "Shuffle" only shuffles within the same disk, not between other disks.

Somehow I think even with audio CDs it would not be different, because I feel that the disk-changing mechanism is slow enough that if it shuffled between disks, there would be an unacceptable delay between songs. That's just my opinion, though.

My 6 disk on the Escape shuffles through all cds. Every home theater I've seen does this too. My guess would be it should shuffle between all.

 

My '02 GT Mach 460 6 pack player has two shuffle options.,.

"shuffle track" will randomly play all the songs on the SAME CD, then when all have been played once it will move to the next CD

"shuffle disk" will randomly play one song on a disk then move to the next disk & play one song, and so on..
