Default 3rd brake light

anyone know where i can find a replacement 3rd brake light for a 2000 that doesnt cost too much. mine is warping up and all scratched. i have found a few but they are all 70-90 bucks. oh and i dont want one of the chrome euro ones off of ebay...

yea...ive thought of that im just afraid that the exact same thing will happen after a short period of time if i get one of those

I was looking into that a while ago because someone scratched mine all up with a key or something when it was parked at my old job. However, what i found was that you have to replace the ENTIRE brakelight, there's not just a cover for it.

I would say a junkyard may be your best bet-- I have never gone to get a replacement, although I really should.
