Default Need help with new car!!!

I hate to start off posting on this forum like this but, I just purchased a 2000 GT with 34000 and on the highway yesterday I hear a noise coming from the right rear tire. When I go to look I see brake dust all over the rims and I notice that the brakes are stuck braking. Now my question is could this be an easy fix? I dont know much about the mustang yet since I just purchased it and I dont have a manual yet. Let me hear input on what you all think this could be.

Sounds like a crasppy brake job, possible wheel bearring faliure.

Im not sure without seeing it but i can guarantee you need to replace the rotors back there.

Have it towed to a shop to have them go through it for you. There are lemmon laws you know. Talk to whoever you bought it from. And being a 2000 with fewer then 60k miles its probably still under warenty, Check it out. You dont want something like this going unfixed. Also check out all the Recalls for your car and have those delt with too.

Good Luck

probably too late for any factory warranty coverage. could be the parking brake was mis-adjusted too tight and caused the disks to drag on the rotors? did you buy it "as is" or was there some dealer warranty? definitely contact the seller and see what you can work out on getting it fixed with them paying for most, if not all of it.

Thanks for all the info...I will have it towed, although I bought it privately so I am screwed on the costs. Thanks again.
