is that really all it's worth? this is a hott looking car and it sounds awesome. how much would it cost to put side pipes on? how about the roll bar?

"A car is worth what a buyer is willing to pay". That being said.... Have you taken a look at a bluebook from the book store on car values? To an extent; "add ons" are not considered something that adds to the value of a vehicle.

 

im thinkin the same thing, its older with higher mileage. Look around and see what comperable vehicles are listing for. Like said aftermarket parts dont really add much value to a vehicle, unless maybe something like a supercharger, but then it depends on the buyer. Also ask/wonder why it needed a paint job. Unless somebody took horrible care of it (in which case they probably wouldnt have modded it) it might have been hit or something like that...

 

Do the online NADA or blue book thing. Looks like you have all the info. Run the VIN if you suspect it to be wrecked.
Mods are like tossing away money if you're trying to do them for investment purposes. Good luck. Later.

i agree with everyone else that the mods are not to be put in perspective when pricing a car. also, a $2600 paint job thats just black, i cant imagine a flat paint job even flirting with those numbers.

 

You're kidding, right? I was quoted 2G & that did not include body work. Quote was for a quick sand & degrease, sealer, paint, & clear. There are several grades \ quality clears out there that really impact the cost. I won't even go into the labor part of the equasion.... Suffice it to say you get what you pay for.

 

so what your telline me is that if a pay $8000 i'm gettin ripped off? does any one know how much side pipes would cost me to put on a dif car? how about the roll bar those are to things i really want. is 90,000mi high?

 

id say you probably are, side pipes for mustangs are usually around 1k, not sure bout the bar. like everyone said, mods dont add to the value of the car though. and 90 is pretty damn high, you would really have to check that out first.
