Hey guys,
I just bought a mustang, and as it turns out my front left strut is seized up, so I will obviously be replacing my suspension. While I am in there I would like to lower my car a bit, and The best prices I have seen so far are on tokico springs struts and shocks for 399 brand new. They are all over ebay or there here http://groupawheels.com/rohpackagedeals3.htm (scroll down). I know this is a reputable company (Tokico) but does anybody have any type of experience with this setup on mustangs. I have been searching the archives like crazy but I have yet to get any real info on them. I know that konis and KYB make really good stuff, but I just don't have that type of green.

Tokico are intermediate shocks.
For $459 you can have the best- Bilstein

Like I said, I know there are better, but those cost more then the shocks and Springs I am looking at.

Bilsteins, I agree. Hands down the best shock available. Anything happens and it can be rebuilt for pocket change.

I assume you want to improve your handling by lowering the car. In that case, get the good stuff the first time. Go for Bilsteins and H&R race springs. Your car will lower a bit, but the sloppy handling will be gone. You should also consider bracing the chassis along with the shocks/springs. Without a stiff chassis, the car will flex instead of the suspension planting the tires. Check out an expert suspension company like www.maximummotorsports.com for complete packages. We need so much help with our poor handling Mustangs.

BTW, KYB's are below Koni and Tokico for quality/performance. Basically, it's Bilstein, Koni, Tokico/Edelbrock, KYB, stock in order of performance. You get what you pay for with shocks.
