im getting a bad vibration in my shifter btw about 50-70 mph. it doesn't matter what gear it just seems to do it at certain speeds. this is a newly built transmission and engine in a 95 cobra. the only thing i could think of is the drive shaft. its the only part of the drive train i haven't replaced. is this my problem or could it be something else?

MAke sure that the bolts that connect the drive shaftr to the rear end are nice and tight. I had the same problem after I swaped out my trany. put some lock tight on the bolts and the problem was fixed.

 

I think face may have hit it always give the bolts a once over and make sure the shifter it tight...do you still use the stock shifter bushings?

 

I know this may sound a little weird but try checking if your fan clutch is bad. My car had a similar problem when I hit high speeds and it seemed like my transmission or driveshaft was the problem. I tried replacing the motor mounts, tranny mounts, harmonic balancer. Then my fan clutch broke and replaced it. Fixed the problem. It made my whole engine shake like crazy. Hope that helps.
