Default turn signal problem

Turn signal never goes off. If battery is connected, the turn signal is on. 79 Pace Car with only 18K miles, always garaged. The turn signal switch plug is disconnected. Headlight switch is unplugged. Dash is out. Fog lights unplugged.
STILL THE TURN SIGNAL LIGHT IS ON (not blicking, just ON!)
Any ideas, please help, I want to drive to NASHVILLE in three weeks.
HELP PLEASE.

well I am thinking youre signal switch is broken (an signal flasher) That makes youre turn signal flash *or blink, Or you could just see if you have a burnt out turn signal light.

Mine went out in my 95 and when it was I was having the same problem. Next if you left it go you will not be able to operate your headlights and from there the emergency signals. Your switch is the same as mine. Its a $60 dollar part and worth it. The multi switch is a finiky thing because the wires are right by a moving part. So if a wire is loose and you put your blinker on you can crimp the wire and cause a short. All my wires were bare. I had 135,000 miles on mine before I had to replace it. I believe the switch is the same for 87-95 Stangs.

Good Luck!
