I have a 2001 gt and I'm tryin to find out which tranny i have. I know about lookin at the door jam plate but i dont see it. Is it on the drivers side door because itz not on mine. Anyway, is there any other way of telling which tranny i have. Thanks in advance.

Borg Warnner T-50.

An auto would be a 4R70W, and manual would be T-45, or maybe a 3550. Not 100% sure.

I thought the manual was the T3650? not 3550

I'm not saying I know more than you guys but i do know in 2001 there were 2 different manual trannys used. Ford switched halfway to the T-3650 I believe from the T-45
