painting wheels
I used to be on another forum for Ford Rangers, and a lot of guys there were painting their wheels. What do you giys think about this? Maybe use a good appliance enamel or a high temp gloss. I believe it will work, and I want to do it, because I can paint it a lot cheaper than buying a new set of wheels.

podwer coating would work good! yeah but its a job prepping parts for paint and then u also have to try not to chip them when installingthe tires u can mask them off but for a better apperance i would dismount them!

yeah, I looked into this further. I would be using an appliance EPOXY, which hardens, not just dries. I would be painting my stock Bullitts, so I would not paint all the way to the lip, I would leave the unpainted lip on there, if that makes sense.

I'm with rmodel65, powdercoating is the way to go. While you will have some inconvenience by having to wait as the wheels go to a company for the work and finally return, it truly is worth the wait. It's like getting new wheels for around 30-45 each. The powder coating is highly chip resistant as well. You can even have polished aluminum items receive a clear powdercoat for protection.
