Vortech V2-SQ input seal
I had to replace mine, so I thought I would share the info.
If all that is wrong is the seal leaking, the correct seal is Chicago Rawhide 9725 available at NAPA for $4.79. Take the pulley off, take the 10 socket head cap screws out, and gently tap/pry the cover off. Watch out for the cover o-ring, don't damage it. Be careful not to loose the shims and wavy springs. Tap out the old seal, use a flat plate and a hammer to tap in the new seal. When you reassemble the cover you can hold the shim in place with a little grease, or just look in as you lower it to be sure they go in the bores. The seal going onto the shaft is a little tricky, it doesn't want to open up to the diameter of the shaft, don't force it. I used a piece of .003" brass shim cut 3" x 3" rolled up and placed over the shaft to expand the seal as it got to the shafts large diameter. But you could use a thin smooth tool to coax the seal open as it rests on the shaft. A little clean oil will help. Once you're sure the seal went on well and the shims and springs are in correct, you're done.
I found a piece of one of my thrown belts (from a year ago) behind the seal, and the seals rubber was completely seperated from the metal body. It only leaked under boost. LOL
Vortech only offers a minor or major rebuild, the minor is $400
