Default Help please with my FORD RACING HEADERS

I hope someone can help me? I recently purchased FORD RACING Headers and when I installed the driver side header, it creates a grinding noise on my steering column. The location is just above where the cat connects to the header. When I look at it on the lift, the steering column is like a few hairs from touching the header. When I turn left it seems to be ok but when I turn right it is as if the car wants to fight turning to the right. I know the header is not leaking or anything. SO please, if someone is out there let me know what I can do. I really want to put headers on but apparently the FORD RACING Headers seem to not fit. I know that there are plenty of them being sold so what is the problem with mine. Should I have gone with JBA's, BBK, Hookers, or possibly someone else who makes a decent set of headers.

You most likely have weak motor mounts causing the contact. 2 choices here. Either replace the m/m's, or unbolt the left side and shim the mount using just enough shims/washers for them to clear once the motor is back resting on the mount.

Good explaination.
I thought I might add that you should consider buying Energy Suspension poly motor mounts. They will not deteriorate with age like stock rubber motor mounts will & can take the abuse of "engine torque over" without ripping that "parts store bought" mount rubber cannot.
