Is is just me or do all of the rubber O-rings that go around the keyhole in the trunklid fall out? I have gone through 2 of them in a year. Next time im putting silicone on the inside and that will be the end of that? I asked some of my friends who have Mustangs and they have also had problems with it.

I've never had any issues with mine, but then again I don't use that key hole, I either pop the trunk from the car or use my keypad. I don't use the trunk too much regardless, so...

I do handwash my car a lot and of course I have to wash over it-- never fallen off or anything. I have a 2000, if it helps.

So, I'm not sure what the fix it could be... perhaps someone who has fixed the problem can chime in

I also hand wash only and pop the trunk using the remote or the button. Maybe the robot that drilled the hole at the plant was having a bad day and made it too big lol...

haha, very possible.

We'll see if other people have issues... I'm sure someone has.

No problems with mine. I've washed over it many times, I've had my stang for about a year now. I don't use the trunk all that often (turn nitrous on and off and get tools to fix the occasional fuel leak [:@])
