Default Sirius sat radio

To hell with the stock antenna, im getting a small little sat one. Ive decided on Sirius, and I have an 06 mustang with the shaker 500 radio system. Which Sirius radio is the easiest to install, and how would I do that, starting with the removal of the stock radio? How/where would/should I place the sat antenna?

This might be one to ask Ford... I know the Mach 460 is satelite-ready, so it says... maybe they have something that you can do for the shaker 500... Might as well ask and find out... The most common satelite radio providers should all come with install instructions... XM and Sirius are the only two that I can think of for now, start by comparing them.

Sigh, as an XM subscriber, I have to agree. I would go with the dog.

*shrug* It says it all over in the owners manual, Ford probably sells something you can install, I don't know the details, I haven't looked into it... I just play my tunes off my iPod.

y would u remove your stock antenna? All you have to do with sirius is put an antenna (magnet) on your roof, plug it into your cig lighter and tune it to a specific radio station. Its easy, i have sirius and i love it. If it says sirius "ready" that means you have to spend more money to get it "integrated" into your vehicle so its not a separate unit from the radio. Easiest and cheapest way is to go to radioshack and pick one up.

hey, dont touch anything on your car. go to walmart and buy a sat rad setup for like 50 bucks. comes with everything except the subscription. and when you get the subscription, you get a free online subscription too. you can put in a new radio, but its gonna cost at least 300 bucks. mine was 600. and its not portable. the walmart one is ultra portable. runs off the cig lighter.
