No one gives a **** around here. I've driven my Z28 with dumps off the headers and gotten a thumbs up from a cop. No one cares.

I wouldn't waste my time with an h-pipe. Get an x-pipe. I run a Dr. Gas x-pipe and Flowmaster 3-chambers. I've yet to get pulled over for too loud an exhaust. I ran dumps for a while, and it was too loud for me at idle; I could set off car alarms when I started it up. Plus, with an x-pipe it will sing a sweet song as you wind it out.

Yeah I've been pulled over for loud exhaust. I was at the Street races out here so the cops were looking for anything to get me on. I told them to get a decible meter because in Cali your car has to be louder then 95 decibles in order to get a noise pollution ticket. Instead he gave me a modified exhaust ticket. I installed my old exhaust for a week paid the ten dollar fine and then reinstalled my Mac Prochamber

There's nothing wrong with an h-pipe, but an x-pipe is quieter (I've had both) and scavenges better.

91 5.0 LX vert w/ Mac shorties, BBK X pipe w/ cats, and MAC after cat now modified w/ dumps on account of the anti-roll bar. Sounds great, but is rather loud. Never been pulled over, but the Polizei haven't heard it yet (car arrives Sat from the States). If it wakes up the neighbors I'm gonna be in trouble. People in Germany love to call the cops on you for anything they don't like...even for working on your car on Sunday.

I've never been pulled over because of this. the new warlock muflers have one entry, and two exit exhausts, I combined that with an electric exhaust dump on one side, and my exhaust system on the other. Now if I see bacon, I hit the switch and Im back to muffled exhaust, but when I want to be loud...open headers. all these parts can be found in the jegs catalog.
