OK about those locking pins, I was going to add my peice before I notticed Galaxie's post;

Locking pins are extreemly unsafe, my Boss had a set on his Civic and removed the latch and his hood flew up on him on the hiway, what happened is one lock just left go (The teeth) and the other one snapped off. He was doing 70 with no headwind. Also, the key to those is a universal key that anyone can get, it looks like an old round coke machine key.

Now if you get the stainless hood pins that have the hole through them and you add your own little master lock then those are good. The sets of hood pins that I really like are ones that I want for my Chevelle. They have a metal woven cable attatched to the key and are thicker than a #2 pencil, the thicker the safer! Pin quality is extreemly important when you dont have a latch, if its for show it doesnt matter I guess but in your case it could mean your life if that happens on the freeway. I have seen pins on Drag Cars (Camaro's) with hood pins as thick as my pinky, thats not jokin around with a pin like that.

Good Luck
