i am interested in converting my 81 nose to a newer single light style such as 86 or newer, does anyone knowif the front fascia and hood will convert,i have heard a 86 up is to wide but not sure this is true!

 

I'm about 95% sure that the entire front clip from the later will work on the earlier.

 

Michael is correct; you can swap anything on you want to with only the hood, front facia, corresponding turnsignal lenses(part of the inner bumper mount from '79-85; not part of the '86-93), & some minor wiring "revisions". The wider wheel welled fenders are from '90-93 I believe; but will swap straight over too if you so choose......
