so would that be fine then?
say i got a CAI but opened up that fender so the air from around the passanger side foglight fills the fender with nice cool driving air
would that be ok?
it would stop the majority of the water n junk too, being a HUGE *** foglight sitting there...
i could imagine it would be better than a normal CAI, but would that be ok with my 75mm MAF?

plenty of cold air already gets up there without having to remove the foglights!
I only did mine the way I did because I removed the lights and support bracket to save weight, especially off the front end of the car.
it won't hurt the MAF either, it don't know the difference about where the air comes from, it just measures the air flow as a function of the temperature change in the heated wire in the sensing element, bigger temp change = higher air flow and the meter signal to the ECU changes accordingly as the air flow changes with the throttle position. BTW, if you can use a MAF after a turbo or supercharger, the turbulence in a normally aspirated system sure as hell ain't going to affect it enough to matter one bit.

no no, im not talking about REMOVING the foglight, just if the fender didnt already AIR out to it

like air would go around the circumfrance of the foglight that small area, and go up into the fender feeding my air filter

The point is there's a huge empty area in there if you take the silencer and tubing out and you don't have to worry about trying to get more. The foglight won't make a real difference.
