So what if a civic guy used mustang tailights to customize his "hatch". Now I'm not an import guy, but I have alot of respect for the guys who do the type of thing seen in the picture above. The import guys are a new generation of hotrodders, and they do some of the most creative and innovative work I have ever seen. Also, this is a testement to how good looking of tailights the mustangs have, that they are being used to customize other cars. This guy is much more creative than many people who just put in "euro" tail lights and a wing, or hood etc.
Think of the first time someone saw a '32 ford with '59 caddy tail lights on it, they probly hated it, but now it would draw attention at a car show, isnt that the same thing?
I'm not writing this to try to start fights, but simply stating my opinion.

and they arent the next generation of hot rodders...its just a fad thats dying out, created by the fast and furious movie

These kids pay out the *** for their parts, that's one thing I think is so funny aobut it all. $600 for a cat back exhuast? lol. No matter how creative or whatever that car is just ugly as sin and should be used as a speedbump for a tank. That's a comforting though

LOL, damn straight GMKiller. That thing will turn heads and trigger gag reflexes. That bumper is just hideous and the second wing is horrible. Far too many of these people are idiots and just pay other people to do all the work for them with their drug money and then drive around thinking they're cool. There are some decent imports out there but they are far outweighed by all the crap. Oh yea, I almost forgot, the point is that he would have to put 15K into the engine to have it be able to compete with a stang with a fraction of that amount of money put into it.

cuz I would think that 15k in an import engine would really give alot of domestic guys a run for there money

Yea, but the point is they have to do so much more to bring them up to par and everything thing costs a lot more anyways. Take headers for example. A header for a lot of those imports is the same or more expensive then a pair for a stang. If you started with a fox, spent at the most like 3k on building a solid engine, then another few on a super/turbo charger or nitrous it would be right there with that civic you just spent so much money on. Or like a lot of these kids who buy 20-30k dollar cars and then dump that 15k into them right after they get it buy a 2003 cobra, put a pulley set, CAI, and cat-back on it and you'll be running 12's. It just seems like a waste of time and money to try and build a performance car out of a non-performance platform. I'm not saying if you put 15k into a civic it woudln't go fast, it's just a waste of money.
