Default Brake Lights

So, today some guy hit my car's driver side fender when it was parked out in a parking lot, but aside from the fender damage, the brake lights won't turn off now. The car can be turned off, on, in reverse, drive, neutral, brakes pressed, depressed, doesn't matter, they're always on. Right now they're off simply because I pulled the plug above the brake pedal. To the question: Does anyone know a remedy to this situation? I'd like to try and fix this myself before I take it over to the mechanic tomorrow and shell out the money.
Sorry I cant be more descriptive, I don't know squat about wiring or electronics.

It's a 1968 Coupe, I6

Default RE: Brake Lights

i had this problem with my 240sx , there was a spacer on the brake pedal that made it hit a small button to activate the brake lights, this spacer fell out/broke, IDK if this is the case with your car but its the closest similar thing i have experienced
