Default PLEASE HELP ME IMMEDIATLY

today i heard my car making a weird noise. its like a clunking or knocking sound. it sounds like its coming from underneath the car. maybe around the transmission. my dad thought it was a rod or something but when i rev the car in neutral it doesnt make the noise. it only happens when i am moving in 1-3 gear, once i get in 4th a 5th i cant really hear it. in reverse i havnt heard the noise. it sounds really really bad. i wont drive my car until it is fixed, and i was hoping someone could tell me what it is before i have to go pay 100 bucks for some thief at a local shop to check it out. again i think it has something to do with the transmission due to the fact that when in neutral i dont hear it, but what do i know.

its not really random because everytime i i pull outta first i hear it, then same with second, same with third. fourth and fifth i cant hear it anymore. the whole rock in the muffler, how could that possibly happen. im praying its something stupid like that though. im not exactly in the mood to spend $1000+. that could be a new hood and new front bumper. but instead itll b throwing a $1000+ out the window

the bearing itself is like $40 but you still have to take the clutch out. if your doing it yourself obviously it'l be cheap. good luck not spending $500
