Default Jackstand placement

i own a 1994 cobra. need to know the proper place to place jackstands front and rear. i have a floor jack and do not wish to use the regular tire changing points described in the owners manual.

The oil pan is always the best place to jack up the car

No but seriously... what are you trying to do? There are different points on a car, some are better than others depending on the job your doing

under the A arms in the front, or K member and on the rear axle toward the sides for better stability.

place them on the frame. There is a part of the frame at each corner of the car; just behind the front wheels and just infront of the rear wheels, about a foot in maybe, u cant miss em...

After checking this placement out i will use the flat area in front of the rear wheels in about a foot, and just behind the front wheels in line with the lower control arms is a rail about 3" wide. Is this considered the frame rail?. I did see where some of the paint and undercoating was scrapped off at these four points from the service lifts at the Ford dealer.
Thanks to all for the info.
