Default diagnosing problems. can anybody help?

hey guys. new member here this is my first post on this particular forum . i ahve a friend that has a 95 mustang, and has spent all this money to get it fixed, and she just got it back yesterday and nothing has been fixed at all. they changed the gaskets and a few other small things that was suposed to fix it. shes ognna bring it back and complain because clearly they had no idea what they were doing. i know what most of the problems are and im hoping u guys may be able to help a bit to figure out whats wrong with it because im thinking they are common problems to diagnose and i have no idea about mustangs. a few of the problems are: it takes a few minutes of turning the key all teh wya to actually get it to start and sometimes it wont start at all, the idle is really bad, and at stop lights if you dont touch the gas after about a minute the rpms slowly drop until it reaches about 300, the "check engine" light is on (im assuming its obdII so could i just get a code reader to find out whats wrong?), it runs reallly rough and is really slow compared to my car while it should be much faster (i have a 93 325i). the shifter shakes while driving, and while coming to a stop the steering wheel shakes like crazy. also the exhaust is really loud and obnoxious there may just be a hole in it though. now i know theres more then 1 thing wrong with it but hopefully you guys may be able to help out. if i can think of anythign else i will post it. also if you ahve any questions i would be glad to answer thanks a lot guys!!

I understand that if you take it to
autozone they will read the codes.
Call first.

I have a 94 and it uses OBD I code, It is my understanding that OBD II was not active in Mustangs untill 1996.
Also plugs and wiring could be an issue here. Would not hurt to check fuel filter and vacuum hoses while your at it.

My 94 has the OBD II, perhaps a mid-year change....

it does sound like it's not running on all cylinders, could be several different
reasons why
