Distributor Installation
I just replaced my plug wires today along with timing it. Got it running real nice now. I'm suprised your doesn't have a number 1 on the cap, it might be hard to read, you may have missed it. I was trying to remember the order of the cylinder numbers today and I'm drawing a blank.

well i looked on MSD's site and it said the gear on it was STEEL
and i looked on the summit
and it said my Camshaft was CAST IRON
egh
soooooooo ruining my day
almost started my car to see if it ran ok
so can i take the one off my old distrib and use it on my new?
old was a Motorcraft blah blahblah something distributor
this is my new one

Yeah just order the right gear and take it to a machine shop to be pressed on.
I wasnt sure about your cam but its a good thing you never fired her up.
