Default smog pump removal question

My smog pump is coming off today. There are two (2) vacuum hoses attached to the smog pump. Is it safe to block them off or cap them?

if you're talking about the big hoses, just remove them all the way back to the hard tubing line back near the firewall. remove the valves and plug the small vacuum lines. take one of the small hoses that bends 180 degrees and use it to hook up the tube line from behind the heads to the tube line running down to the H-pipe using the hose clamps already on the hose and you'll be done and all that hose crap will be out of the way too.

thanks for the info, I was not sure about the two small vacuum hoses that connect to the two filters inline with the smog pump. Now if i can just get the smog pump off of the bracket. It seems that bolt just will not come loose....any advice on that one?

one of mine was really hard to remove too. get some penetrating oil and soak it good and just keep torquing on the wrench, it will come loose sooner or later, and if it breaks off, what do you care as you're not going to use it anymore anyway!
