Can Anyone Answer This?
Hey guys,
Back again with another odd question. In a 2004 Stang, is there a way to remove the emergency brake handle without replacing the steel arm assembly?
3 months ago I purchased a UPR billet aluminum E-brake handle cover, and it didn't fit tight. Soooo....I Liquid Nailed the damn thing in place. Hey, it never moved.
Anyway, about a week ago the thumb buttom started getting stuck inside the aluminum cover. I had to use my E-brake, so I ripped the thing off. Everything works fine, but the plastic handle looks like ***. And the original plastic thumb button is now scarred and melted from the glue I used. So, I purchased a replacement handle/arm assembly for 90 bucks from Ford, but the dealership wants $220 to install the thing. I have already spent way too much money on this thing and would like to just pop the plastic handle off of the metal arm and pop the new one on there. Can this be done?
Thanks again guys.
