High miles on new car
Alright so I'm a student and have very little cash, I've always wanted a mustang too. Well I found a 2000 for $6,900... first one I can actually afford (i'm looking for a 99 or up) but it has 71,000 miles on it. I don't know that much about cars but do you think that could be a problem? It drives fine and everything looks to be alright but the mileage is pretty high.... and it's pretty high on most of the other newer mustangs I have seen too... is this something to worry about or should I go ahead and buy?
ALWAYS take it to an independent mechanic chosen by your (get recomendations).
I know WAY too many people that have been f**ked over by not taking it to a mechanic to have it checked out.

Like jeep said, take it to a mechanic and have him check everything. Mileage alone doesn't mean much, I have 136,000 on my '93 5.0, but it receives regular maintenance. Really depends on who owned it and how they drove it.
