The VW GLI. Boost the **** out of it, make it fast, and still get over 25 mpg.

I drive a 2000 ford ZX2. Great gas mileage, fun to drive and for a four banger, its quick out of the hole! For sunny days and when I DONT have to park my stang in a parking lot, the ol' stang makes an appearance. Probaly why my 95 gt vert only has 52000 miles on it.

I used to drive a 1983 BMW 528e way back in the day and it would get incredible gas mileage (38 on highway and 30 in the city). Plus, I had leather, sunroof, power seats, power locks, 4 doors, bmw engineering, and would EASILY cruise at 100mph anyday......It doesnt get much better than that. I sold the car with a little rust and 180,000 miles for $1000 to a good buddy of mine. It was an incredible car and will not be my last.

In between my two 'stangs, I had a New Beetle. EXCELLENT gas mileage. I could go 2+ weeks between fill ups (When I got to 355-360 miles, I went ahead and filled up, even if the loud "low on gas" beep didn't go off). I'm in the middle of "gas gauge" shock, watching how fast the mustang's gas goes.
