Default WIDER TIRES MEANS MORE TORQUE TO THE GROUND RIGHT?

I know some of you might think i could answer this question to myself. But i have 95W Supra Kumho tires..17" rims. and im having a hard time being able to put my torque to the ground off the line when i punch it... I'll just spin out and go no where. so would wider tires give me that ability to floor it with out spinning out and take off like a mad man? IF so which ones should i go with?

94GT Supercharged. 11 PSI

Wider tires/better tires will give you more traction, but you have to work on launching, not just floor it. That's something you can't do with a stock GT let alone one running 11psi. Work on a more gradual take-off. If you really wanna punch it get a set of drag radials

Yeah, get a set of drag radials and prepare to have your arms straightened, lol. The object of leaving the line is to try not to spin the tires. Feather the gas and find a good rpm to leave at. With a supecharged car, you are going to get some wheel spin, so it all falls back on the driver. Just learn to control your foot and you should be fine .

Drag radials are legal.

I also agree you are never going to be able (UNLESS YOU RUN ALL OUT BIG SLICKS) going to be able to hammer it to the floor and leave without spinning!

By the way sounds like you got a terror on your hands got any pics?We always love seeing bad *** cars especially stang.

And if you can hammer it without getting spin you need to get a better car.

Bingo. You're lucky to add 5% more traction with a wider tread of the same compound, but you can get insance increases with better compounds.
